The Beginning of Star West Painting and Design Inc...
The company is owned and operated by Gary Scott who's goal is to provide a professional painting and decorating service to Lethbridge and Southern Alberta . Gary and his wife Vicky decided to combine their love of painting, decorating, and interior design to start their own company. They have lived in Lethbridge and Southern Alberta for their whole lives and love this community.
The name Star West came about because a Star has always been used to represent a level of achievement or award. They felt they would use it to reflect the quality of service and professionalism that they strive to achieve on every job.
Gary's experience in the trades, and as a realtor, has put him in touch with people's wishes for more professionalism in the trades who have worked on their homes. The owners decided to incorporate that STAR philosophy into their company name. WEST came from living on the west side of Lethbridge and being in Western Canada.

Gary has over 10 yrs of professional painting experience. Gary was trained by one of the best painters in Southern Alberta and worked under his tutelage for 5 yrs + and then has painted on his own, on and off, for several more years while gettting his Business Managment degree and venturing into other business activities.
He has also worked in other trades, as a relator, renovated several houses, and he and Vicky designed their current home and Gary was the general contractor.
Gary's experience in the trades, and as a realtor selling houses, has given him a good understanding of what people want and expect from trades working in their homes... such as Reliability, Professionalism, Quality and Respect.
Vicky Scott I.S.R.P.
Vicky has been in the customer service industry her whole career as a hair stylist and educator of beauty culture. Her ability to visualize and create extends beyond the field of beauty into Interior Design.
She has beautifully designed new homes and renovated houses, redesigned older homes, and successfully staged new homes for sale. Everyone has loved her finished product and looks forward to working with Vicky.
From picking paint colors to redesigning your entire home Vicky will provide Star Treatment and help your home shine to it's fullest potential.
Carole Hutchison National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO), Experienced Safety Auditor - Consultant to Star West Painting
With over 17 years in Construction Health and Safety and Administration Carole brings her broad experience in safety program development to Star West Painting and Design. Carole believes that every job can be done well and safely, and that every employee has the right to go home to their families at the end of a day’s work. She currently sits on the Lethbridge Regional Safety Committee and participates in local safety related events such as Steps for Life which raises money for the families of those lost in workplace fatalities as well at the Day of Mourning. As a painter and artist she frequently donates and sells her artwork to local and provincial charities such as the Helping Families Handle Cancer annual fundraiser.
